The Centre Furnace Mansion

The Centre Furnace Mansion serves as headquarters for the Centre County Historical Society. The Mansion, the ironmaster's residence for Centre Furnace, is restored and furnished to reflect the period of residence of ironmaster Moses Thompson and his family.

Boogersburg School

The Alpha Fire Company is the volunteer company that serves State College, Penn State, and the surrounding townships.

The company was founded in 1899 as the Union Fire Company. A year later, the name was changed to Alpha Fire Company. George T. Graham, a barber who later owned a popular shop, served as the first president and held the position for many years.
